Beta 1 of ITSDS DataPump 2008 is ready for testing and we would like you to test the software to help us improve it!

ITSDS DataPump 2008 is software that has been created to extract data from different Databases and store in a central Repository. The currently supported Databases for the Standard Edition include

Oracle

PostgreSQL

Firebird

MySQL

SQL Server

Microsoft Access

Access to different datasources is centralised without having to build the underlying support to link or replicate Databases from the same vendor or different vendors. Once data is centrally stored it can act as a single-source for a number of Data Management activities including

Data Analysis/Mining

Data Profiling

Data Quality monitoring

Information Dissemination (Reporting)

Transformation (as part of a Extraction-Transformation-Loading process)

Also, as the data is stored in a separate Repository to the Datasources, the above activities can be performed at anytime in a separate environment without any impact on the source Databases.
