DataPump Administrator

DataPump Administrator is the tool to manage the ITSDS DataPump 2008 Beta 1 Software using a user-friendly interface. It is used as a console that communicates with the DataPump Database to facilitate functionality and also allows complete visibility and management of the DataPump Software components. DataPump Administrator is designed to be easy to use by creating a logical end-to-end process for managing objects.

Data Agents

The Data Agents are responsible for extracting data from a particular Datasource at a predetermined day and time as defined by the configuration stored in the DataPump Core Database. The resulting records are stored in the DataPump Repository Database. Select one or more of the Data Agents below to install.

*** The Data Agents require the respective OLEDB driver also to be installed. Ensure the system you are installing the Data Agent on has the OLEDB driver installed (see below for the related OLEDB Driver; these are typically dependent on the underlying Database Client Software (check the OLEDB Driver Installation instructions for additional details)) ***

Firebird Database Server

The Firebird Database Server has its ancestry in the Interbase Database Engine (that in turn was created from Sybase) and was released by Borland under the Interbase Public License. It can be run on a number of platforms and is compliant with many SQL standards. It is Open Source and supports functionality found in many leading Database Engines including Database transactions, Stored Procedures and Triggers, Referential Integrity, granular security and can also be run as an embedded Database where access to the data is direct and via a single Dynamic Link Library. ITSDS DataPump 2008 Beta 1 supports Firebird 1.5.3 and hasn't been tested on any other version (yet), though you are welcome to test it.
